PY & A Division
A 35' x 66' multi-level urban and mountainous freelanced based on prototypes HO scale layout. It models the PY & A Division of the Pennsylvania (PRR) and Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) Railroads in the early 1950's. It encompases the area from Ashtabula, Ohio to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and includes interchanges with the P&LE, Erie and C&O Railroads. The layout is fully operational (crew of 18 plus dispatcher) and about 75% sceniced. The traffic consists of freight and passenger service with pusher and dedicated switcher service. The system contain 750 ft of mainline (code 100) track with a minimum radius of 32" and a maximum grade of 1.5% all controlled by a Digitrax DCC System with wireless and sound installed!
