North Central Express 2010 - Silent Auction for Steam Railroad Institute

At the NORTH CENTRAL EXPRESS 2010 convention, we will be having several Silent Auctions on model railroad and misc. items. The proceeds will be going to the Steam Railroading Institute (home of Pere Marquette 1225) for restoration and DCC upgrades to a donated HO scale layout that visitors can operate.
The items for the Silent Auction will be from our Door Prize donation pile, plus whatever else we can gather from around the area!
- Free dinners
- Movie passes
- Sports items
- Jewelry
- Whatever we can get our hands on!
We will try to have 2 raffles on Friday and one on Saturday morning.
If you have not participated in a Silent Auction – here’s how it works… The item for auction is on display on a table and there is a bidding form next to that item. The form says what the item is and it’s estimated value. Then there are lots of lines on the form and that is where you write your name, registration number and the dollar amount you are willing to pay for that item. NOW, come back often, as someone else may want that item and will write their name and a higher bid amount! You, of course, can counter their bid... and so on, and so on... Each auction will have a posted end time and at THAT time, whoever has the high bid on each item has won that item for that amount.
Now you can help others by attending the NORTH CENTRAL EXPRESS 2010!
