Special Scenery Clinic - January 2008 
Division 6 hosted a special clinic in January 2008 on creating realistic scenery for your Model Railroad. The clinic was given by the nationally renowned Model Railroad Scenic John Bussard. John has performed many clinics of which one was at the Great Lake Express 2007 - NMRA National Convention here in Detroit Michigan. He has been featured on the cover of Scail Rails (Official NMRA Magazine).
The clinic was held on January 26th from 9am to 5pm at the Livonia Senior Center. The agenda was to learn how to perform the following;
The attendees were required to bring the following list of supplies, as this was a hands on style clinic. As John showed the modelers how it was done they could follow along so by the time the whole day clinic was completed each modeler who attended was actually able to bring home some finished scenery items!
Spool of .032 diameter wire (available at ACE hardware stores)
Small hobby vise, one that is designed to clamp on a table
Cordless drill
Small hook, would be inserted into the cordless drill above
Can of 3M #77 spray adhesive (available at Wal-Mart)
Can of Duro spray adhesive (available at Wal-Mart)
Spool of Sisal rope (available at Tractor Supply)
Small plastic containers, for sorting the different sizes of cut rope
Pair of good strong scissors or shears (Handi-Cut available at Sears)
Pair of latex gloves
