Chesapeake & Ohio / Pere Marquette Springfield Branch N Scale early 1950s era
The Springfield Branch is a 4 x 8 foot layout that my brothers started building in 1968. The locomotives are almost all custom painted and detailed, due to a lack of available prototype equipment. Some of the freight cars were also custom decorated, like the Duff beer reefers shown. Many of the structures are scratch built, and have interior details and lighting. The town of Springfield features synchronized traffic lights, controlled by a circuit I built.
